My dear extraordinary youth, you were sent to earth at this precise time, the most crucial time in the history of the world, to help gather Israel. There is nothing happening on this earth right now that is more important than that. There is nothing of greater consequence. Absolutely nothing. This gathering should mean everything to you. This is the mission for which you were sent to earth. So my question to you is “Are you willing to enlist in the youth battalion of the Lord to help gather Israel?” Please think about it. -President Russell M. Nelson

Called to Serve!!

Dear Sister Sutton:

You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Adriatic South Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months.

You should report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Albanian language. Your assignment may be modified according to the needs of the mission president.

MY EXCITEMENT IS UNREAL. I cannot wait to serve these people... I feel as if I know them already!!

For those who don't know, missionary assignments are given through a very divine process. Each mission is unique and specific to each missionary. I cannot wait to teach, learn, serve, and grow from this amazing place and these amazing people. I absolutely can't wait to share my love for my Savior Jesus Christ. Many people have asked me why I am always happy. The answer to that question is simply because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is because of his unconditional love for each and every one of us. He knows us by name. We are perfectly imperfect children of God and through the atonement of Christ we may be reunited with him again. The Book of Mormon has been a constant guide to me on my road to happiness. It is my hope that I can be the light in someone's life leading them on their own road to happiness.

Some background of the mission: It includes the countries of Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Greece (plus Cyprus). It is anticipated that I'll be in the Missionary Training Center for about 9 weeks. Religiously, the majority of the population is Muslim making Christianity the second largest religion in this area. The climate is humid and consists of hot summers and mild winters similar to Utah.

If you'd like to hear about my experiences on this new adventure feel free to stalk my blog; email me lots; and send tons of letters, drawings, and pictures. :)
